ORDER

The 13th August, 2018

No.3801–SDTE-PDE-II-Poly-0026/2018/SDTE.— In exercise of power conferred

under section-3 (2) of the Odisha Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of

Admission and Fixation of Fee) Amendment Act, 2016, Government have been pleased to

prescribe the following modalities for filling up of the vacant seats at Institution level with

the qualified eligible candidates after 1^st/2^nd phase of Diploma Counselling conducted by

the Diploma Admission Committee through SAMS.

(1) The admission at Diploma institutions level shall be strictly done on merit basis

in a fair and transparent manner.

(2) The following categories of candidates are allowed for institution level admission

against the vacant seats:—

(i) The candidates, who have not participated on earlier rounds of Diploma

Centralized Counselling / who have withdrawn from the Diploma Centralized

Counselling process.

(ii) The candidates who have participated in earlier rounds of Diploma

Centralized Counselling but have not got allotment of seats.

(iii) The Candidates who have been allotted in final round of Diploma

Centralized Counselling but did not report at their allotted institution. (In this

regard, the concerned institute should submit non-reported candidates list

to the Diploma Admission Committee, 2018 on or before 14th August, 2018

which will be duly verified by the said Committee).

(iv) The candidates who have withdrawn after temporary allotment.

(3) The Institutions shall conduct counseling of candidates who have the requisite

eligibility criteria as per the AICTE norms and shall furnish the documents of eligible

reported candidates to Diploma Admission Committee, 2018 in support of admission in

respective institute. Candidates found ineligible (as per criteria prescribed by the AICTE

and indicated in Counseling Brochure of current year) during document verification will be

debarred from admission.

(4) All admissions at the institute level against the vacant seats should be

completed on or before 15th August, 2018 positively. The particulars of students admitted

by institutes should be up-loaded to SAMS by Participating Institutions using their login id

and password on or before 15th August, 2018 positively.

(5) The detailed guidelines for admission to the aforesaid courses are given in the

current year Diploma Admission Brochure, 2018.

(6) The Principals of the concerned institutions who are making admission at

Institute level are requested to verify the documents duly and confirm that the admissions

are as per the norms / guidelines / rules prescribed by the AICTE/Government.

(7) The institutions are required to submit the documents of the admitted candidates

for verification by the Diploma Admission Committee, 2018.

(8) The students eligible for admission under said vacant seats will be issued with

Registration Number by the SCTE&VT after due verification following the Rules,

Regulations of the Council concerned.

(7) For any clarification, if so necessary, the decision the Government in Skill

Development and Technical Education Department shall be final and binding.
