NOTIFICATION

The 28th August, 2018

No. 6815–VIII-Estt.-SM-168/2016(Pt)/SM.–— Whereas, a State Level Committee

has been constituted vide Steel & Mines Department, Government of Odisha Notification

No. 3546, dated the 4th May, 2018 to oversee the implementation of various

recommendations of NEERI report on the carrying capacity study for iron/ manganese

mining.

Whereas, the State Level Committee in its meeting dated the 21st June,2018 has

inter-alia recommended for constituting District Level Monitoring Committee in the

Districts of Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jajpur & Mayurbhanj to take forward the

implementation of NEERI report.

Now, therefore, the State Government after careful consideration have been

pleased to constitute District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) in the districts of

Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jajpur & Mayurbhanj under the Chairmanship of the respective

Collector consisting of the following members to monitor the implementation of the

recommendation of NEERI report in respect of all items requiring action at the District

Level Authorities and/or by the mining lessees.

The DLMC’s shall submit their report to the Steel & Mines Department/ Director,

Mines and may call for information/ report from the mining lessees and invite them to

attend the meeting as may be required by them.
