NOTIFICATION

The 29th September, 2018

S.R.O. No. 403/2018— Whereas, the first meeting of the Council of 65

Municipalities and Notified Area Councils, as specified in column (3) of the schedule below

was held on 30th September, 2013 and the five years term of the said Municipalities/NACs

will expire on 29th September, 2018;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) of Section

401 of the Odisha Municipal Act, 1950 (Odisha Act, 23 of 1950) the State Government do

hereby appoint the officer specified in column (4) of schedule as Administrator to exercise

the powers and discharge the duties of the respective Municipalities/NACs and its

Chairpersons during the interval period between expiry of the term of the office of the

Councillors of the said Municipalities/NACs till the date of the first meeting of the newly

elected Councillors.
