NOTIFICATION

The 3rd October, 2018

S.R.O. No. 412/2018— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (2) of

Article 243-Q of the Constitution of India read with sub-section (2) of Section 4 of the

Odisha Municipal Act, 1950 (Odisha Act 23 of 1950), the Governor of Odisha, having

regard to the population of the area, the density of population therein, the revenue

generated for local administration , the percentage of employment in non-agricultural

activities and economic importance of the area, intends to specify the whole of the

Nayagarh Notified Area, Council area in the District of Nayagarh as a “Smaller Urban

Area”.

Objections and suggestions in writing are invited from all persons of the aforesaid

area who are likely to be affected thereby within a period of 30 days from the date of

publication of this notification in the Odisha Gazette and the objections and suggestions, if

any, which will be received through the Collector and District Magistrate, Nayagarh within

the said period shall be duly considered by the State Government.
