NOTIFICATION

The 16th November, 2018

No.5563–IIQX-158/2018/Ex.–— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 90

read with Section 94 of the Odisha Excise Act, 2008 (Odisha Act 10 of 2013), the State

Government do hereby make the following rules to amend the Odisha Excise Rules,

2017, namely:—

1. Short title and commencement:— (1) These rules may be called the Odisha

Excise (Amendment) Rules, 2018.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Odisha Gazette.

2. In the said rules, in rule 164, after the first proviso, the following proviso shall be

inserted, namely:—

“Provided further that the State Government on the occasion of a national or

international level mega event may, by notification, extend the selling hour until 1.30

a.m. in respect of any of the places mentioned in clause (d) of the first proviso without

insisting on payment of any additional fee or consideration money leviable under these

rules. ”
