NOTIFICATION
The 4th December, 2018
S.R.O. No.462/2018— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article
309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Odisha is pleased to make the following
rules further to amend the Odisha Fisheries Service, Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ (Recruitment and
Conditions of Service) Rules, 2013 namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called Odisha Fisheries Service, Group ‘A’ and ‘B’
(Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Amendment Rules, 2018.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Odisha Gazette.
2. In the Odisha Fisheries Service, Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ (Recruitment and Conditions of
Service) Rules, 2013 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), for sub-rule(I) and sub-
rule(2) of rule 5, the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:—
“5. (1) The Departmental Promotion Committee for selection of Officer for
consideration of promotion to the post of Director of Fisheries in Group-A
(Senior Branch) in the service shall consist of the following members, namely:—
(a)
Chief Secretary, Odisha

(b)
Principal
Secretary/
Commissioner-cum-
Secretary to Government of Fisheries &
A.R.D. Department

Member
(c)
Additional / Joint / Deputy Secretary to

(2) The Departmental Promotion Committee for selection of Officer for consideration
of promotion to the post as mentioned in clause (ii) to (vi) of sub-rule(2) of rule 3
in Group-A (Senior Branch), the post of Group-‘A’ (Junior Branch) and Group-‘B’
in the service shall consist of the following members, namely:—
