NOTIFICATION

The 12th February, 2019

S.R.O. No. 64/2019— Whereas, the first meeting of the Council of Baripada

Municipality in the District of Mayurbhanj was held on 13th February, 2014 and the five

years term of the said Municipality will expire on 12th February, 2019;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) of Section

401 of the Odisha Municipal Act, 1950 (Odisha Act 23 of 1950) the State Government do

hereby appoint the District Magistrate and Collector, Mayurbhanj to exercise the powers

and discharge the duties of Baripada Municipality during the interval period between expiry

of the term of the office of the Councillors of the said Municipality till the date of the first

meeting of the newly elected Councillors.
