NOTIFICATION

The 25th February, 2019

S.R.O.No.75/2019— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article,

309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Odisha is pleased to make the following

rules to amend the Additional Block Development Officers( Method of Recruitment and

Conditions of Service) Rules,1992,namely :—

1. Short title and Commencement:— (1) These rules may be called the Additional

Block Development Officers (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service)

Amendment Rules, 2019.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Odisha Gazette.

2. In the Additional Block Development Officers (Method of Recruitment and

Conditions of Service) Rules, 1992, in rule 4, for sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall

be substituted, namely :—

"(2) Gram Panchayat Extension Officers and Progress Assistants who have

completed five years of continuous service as such on the 1st day of January of

the year in which recruitment is made shall be eligible for consideration for

promotion to the posts in the service.”.
