NOTIFICATION

The 30th March, 2019

No.14645–HOME-FS-MISC-0001/2016(Pt.)/CD.— After enforcement of Odisha Fire

Prevention and Fire Safety Rules, 2017, some empirical difficulties were experienced while

issuing Fire Safety recommendation as well as Fire Safety Certificate. In order to put in

place a smooth operational frame work for issuance of Fire Safety Certificate within a

reasonable time, a guideline was issued vide Home Department Resolution No.19875,

dated the 3rd May, 2018 as an interim arrangement pending amendments of Odisha Fire

Prevention and Fire Safety Rules, 2017 in the exigency of public services.

In the meanwhile, the Odisha Fire Prevention and Fire Safety (Amendment) Rules,

2019 has been published in the Odisha Gazette vide No.436, dated the 6th March, 2019

and is operative on the date of its publication.

In the above circumstances, continuance of the aforesaid Resolution being

redundant is here by withdrawn.
