NOTIFICATION

No.18760–FIN-LFA-ESTT-0015/2019/F.— Rule 16 of the Odisha Subordinate

Finance Service (Local Fund Audit) Rules, 1995 provides that “A person appointed on

probation against a permanent vacancy in the cadre shall be confirmed at the end of the

period of probation, if he is considered fit for confirmation by the Appointing Authority and

has passed the Departmental Examination referred to in rule-15 or has been exempted

from passing it: Provided that a permanent vacancy in the cadre shall be reserved where

confirmation is deferred for a specified period." It has come to the notice of the

Government that the Auditors of G.P. Wing of Panchayati Raj Department, who got

amalgamated in the LFA Cadre vide F.D. Notification No. 1450/F., dated the 11th January,

2013, had not appeared any departmental examination since it was not contemplated in

their recruitment rules.

2. After careful consideration of the matter, Government have been pleased to relax

the provision under rule 16 of Odisha Subordinate Finance Service (Local Fund Audit)

Rules, 1995 in case of their confirmation in the post of Audit Superintendent in exercise of

the powers under rule 19 of Odisha Subordinate Finance Service (Local Fund Audit)

Rules, 1995.

3. The above order will take immediate effect.
