NOTIFICATION
The 13th June, 2019
S.R.O No- 205/19— The following draft of certain Rules, which the State Government propose
to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of section 42 of the Odisha Shops and
Commercial Establishments Act,1956 (Odisha Act 30 of 1956) for amendment of the Odisha Shops
and Commercial Establishments Rules, 1958, is hereby published as required under the sub-section
(4) of the said section for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and the notice is
hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration by the State Government on or after
the expiry of a period of fifteen days from the date of publication of the said notification in the Odisha
Gazette.
Any objection or suggestion which may be received from any person in respect of the said draft
before expiry of the period so specified above will be considered by the State Government.
DRAFT
1. Short title and commencement, - (1) These rules may be called the Odisha Shops and
Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Rules, 2019.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Odisha Gazette.
2. Registration;- In the Odisha Shops and Commercial Establishment Rules, 1958 (hereinafter
referred to as the said rules), in rule 3, for the shoulder heading “Registration and Renewal of
Registration”, the shoulder heading “ Registration” shall be substituted and column (4) appearing in
the Schedule thereof containing “Fees for renewal of registration for five years” shall be omitted.
3. In the said rules, in rule 4,-
(i) for the shoulder heading “Application for renewal”, the shoulder heading “Application for
registration” shall substituted;
