ORDER

The 3rd July, 2019

S.R.O. No.227/2019— Whereas, the State Government are satisfied that in the

interest of Public it is necessary to prohibit strikes in services connected with the generation,

transmission and distribution of electricity in all establishment of Odisha Power Generation

Corporation, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation, Odisha Power Transmission Corporation

Limited, GRIDCO, CESU (formerly known as CESCO), NESCO, SOUTHCO, WESCO and

any other power generating station for the purpose of keeping industrial peace to optimize

generation, transmission and distribution of power in the State.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-Section (1) of Section 3 read

with Section 4(3) of the Orissa Essential Services (Maintenance) Act, 1988 (Orissa Act. 9 of

1992), the State Government do hereby prohibit strikes in the aforesaid services. The order

shall remain in force for a period of six months with effect from 22nd July, 2019.
