NOTIFICATION

The 1st August, 2019

S.R.O. No.271/2019―Whereas, it is felt necessary to extend the tenure of the

Commission of Inquiry consisting of Hon’ble Shri Justice M. M. Das (Retd.) appointed vide

this Department Notification No.371/C., dated the 5th February, 2015 to take up the inquiry

into Unauthorised Collection of Public Deposits in the State from the stage it was left over by

Late Justice R. K. Patra ;

And, whereas, the inquiry is in progress and the time stipulated in this Department

Notification No.268/C., dated the 1st February, 2019 is expiring on 4th August, 2019 ;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 read with sub-

section (1) of Section 5 of the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1952 (60 of 1952) the State

Government do hereby make the following amendment in the said Notification namely:―

AMENDMENT

In the said Notification for the words “54 (fifty-four) months”, the words “60 (sixty)

months” shall be substituted.
