The 17th August, 2019

No.2032/C.―In partial modification of provisions contained in Police Manual

rules 605 and 606, the State Government have been pleased to decide not to extend

courtesies such as Guard of Honour and House Guard to the following dignitaries except

during ceremonial occasions such as Republic Day, Independence Day, Utkal Diwas,

etc.

Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha

2.

Hon'ble Speaker & Deputy Speaker, Odisha

3.

Hon'ble Cabinet Ministers of Odisha

4.

Hon'ble Leader of Opposition, Odisha

5.

Hon'ble Ministers of State, Odisha

6.

Hon'ble Deputy Ministers of State, Odisha

These courtesies will also not be extended to Government Officials except those

who are invited to the above mentioned ceremonial occasions as Chief Guest.

In respect of other dignitaries as contained in Police Manual rules 605, 606 and 607

existing provisions regarding Guard of Honour and House Guard shall continue to be in

force. Deployment of Armed Guards etc. to be made by District S.Ps. / DCPs. for

security of dignitaries depending on local threat perception and ground situation.
