NOTIFICATION

No.36853‒HOME-SPS-RULE-0001/2018/SPS.― In exercise of the powers conferred by

the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Odisha hereby makes

the following rules to amend the Odisha Police Service (Method of Recruitment and

Conditions of Service) Rules, 2013, namely:―

1. Short title and commencement:―(1) These rules may be called the Odisha Police

Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) 2nd Amendment Rules, 2019.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Odisha Gazette.

2. In the Odisha Police Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules,

2013 in rule 6 for sub-rule (4), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:―

“(4)

Appointment to Odisha Police Service (Superior Administrative Grade) shall be

made on promotion from amongst the officers of Odisha Police Service

(Supertime Scale) on the basis of merit and suitability with due regard to

seniority.”.
