NOTIFICATION

The 11th September, 2019

No.12945─WCD-CW-MISC-0045-2017/WCD&MS.—In exercise of the powers

conferred under sub-rule (9) of rule 6 and sub-rule (1) of rule 16 of the Juvenile Justice

(Care and Protection of Children) Model Rules, 2016, [hereinafter referred to as “the

Rules”], the State Government have fixed the sitting / travel allowance of the social worker

members of the Juvenile Justice Board, Chairperson and Members of the Child Welfare

Committee each @ Rs.1,500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) per sitting vide

this Department Notification No. 10235/WCD, dated 13.06.2019.

Now it has been decided that, in normal days when summons were issued but no

witness turned up, members of JJBs shall be paid 50 % of the sitting allowance. At the

same time, members of JJB can be engaged in verification of the case records to find out

the reasons for the absence of witness.

This order shall come to force with immediate effect.
