NOTIFICATION

The 13th September, 2019

No.2182/C.―In exercise of powers U/s. 5 (2) of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885,

read with Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules, 2007 and in consonance with the

delegation made by the State Government, Principal Secretary, Home Department hereby

designates the Additional D.G. of Police, CID-CB, Odisha, Cuttack to act as Nodal

Authority with respect to crime matters handled by Odisha Police and other Law

Enforcement Agencies for legal interception of any message or class of messages relating

to any particular subject transmitted through telephones from Telephone Service Providers

in the State of Odisha.

The I.G. of Police, EOW of CID-CB, Odisha is designated as Nodal Authority for

Legal Interception in absence of Additional D.G. of Police, CID-CB, Odisha, Cuttack from

Headquarters.

This supersedes the previous Notification No.1068/C., dated the 28th April, 2018.
