NOTIFICATION

The 6th November, 2019

S.R.O. No. 392/2019—Whereas, the draft of certain rules further to amend the

Odisha Education (Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Teachers and Members of

the Staff of Aided Educational Institutions) Rules, 1974 were published as required by

sub-section (1) of Section 27 read with sub-section (1) of Section 10 of the Odisha

Education Act, 1969 (Odisha Act 15 of 1969) in the Extraordinary issue of the Odisha

Gazette No.1250 dated the 18th July, 2019 under the Notification of the Government of

Odisha in the School & Mass Education Department No.13752/SME., dated the 6th July,

2019 bearing S.R.O. No.240/2019, inviting suggestion or objection from all persons likely

to be affected thereby till the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date of publication of

the said notification in the Odisha Gazette;

And, whereas, no suggestion or objection has been received in respect of the said

draft by the State Government within the stipulated period;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 27 of the Odisha

Education Act, 1969, the State Government do hereby make the following rules, further to

amend the Odisha Education (Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Teachers and

Members of the Staff of Aided Educational Institutions) Rules, 1974, namely:—

1. (1) These rules may be called the Odisha Education (Recruitment and Conditions of

Service of Teachers and Members of the Staff of Aided Educational Institutions)

Amendment Rules, 2019.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Odisha Gazette.

2. In the Odisha Education (Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Teachers and

Members of the Staff of Aided Educational Institutions) Rules, 1974, in rule 16, in

sub-rule (2), the second proviso shall be omitted.
