SUBJECT— Constitution of State Level Steering Committee for implementation of 7th Minor Irrigation

Census, 2nd Census of Water Bodies, 1st Census of Major and Medium Irrigation

Projects and 1st Census of Springs in the State.

No. 1250—PC-STC-OSS-0007/2023-P.—As per the provision laid down in Para. 2.1 of the

Operational Guidelines, Government is pleased to constitute State Level Steering Committee (SLSC)

for implementation of 7th Minor Irrigation Census, 2nd Census of Water Bodies, 1st Census of

Major and Medium Irrigation Projects and 1st Census of Springs in the State. The Composition and

Terms of Reference (ToR) of the Committee are as follows :

Considering the inclusion of 1st Census of Springs, the Chairperson of the SLSC may

co-opt representatives from other concerned Government Departments as and when required.

3. Terms of Reference (ToR) of the SLSC :

(a) To finalize the process of implementation of 7th Minor Irrigation Census, 2nd Census

of Water Bodies, 1st Census of Major and Medium Irrigation Projects and 1st Census

of Springs in the State.

(b) To decide engagement of agencies for collection of field level data for these censuses.

(c) To review and monitor the milestones of the activities of census work from time to

time and facilitate inter-departmental co-ordination for smooth and timely completion

of censuses work.

(d) To finalize time schedule for conduct of census, training, supervision, publicity,

data entry, processing and payment of honorarium/remuneration for censuses.

(e) The State Level Steering Committee shall meet as and when required.

ORDER—Ordered that the Notification be published in an extraordinary issue of the Odisha

Gazette.
