The 21st December 2024
No. 3040-SECɆWhereas the Sub-Collector Kendrapara has submitted the
proposal for by-election to the office of Sarpanch of Badapada G.P under
Pattamundai Block and the Electoral Roll of the said Gram Panchayat has already
been prepared;
Whereas the Sub-Collector, Kendrapara vide his Letter No. 1715 dated
17.12.2024 has intimated that the Hon’ble High Court of Orissa vide Order No. 02
dated 05.12.2024 in W.P (C) No. 29679/2024 has directed to hold the by- election to
the said G.P;
Now, therefore, the State Election Commission in exercise of powers conferred
under Article 243K of Constitution of India read with Section 16 of O.G.P Act, 1964
and Rule 85(1) of O.G.P.E. Rules,1965 hereby appoints the following dates and time
for the by- election to be held in respect of the office of Sarpanch of aforesaid G.P
as per the statement appended herewith.
