TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are invited

for the purchase of the following old newspapers (English

and Tamil) general periodical (English) and plastic chairs

lying in the Office of the Principal, Dr. Ambedkar

Government Law College, Puducherry.

2. The rate should be quoted for each item as follows.

3. The tenders in sealed covers superscribing

with the words “Tender for purchase of plastic chairs

and old newspapers” and addressed to the Principal,

Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Puducherry on

or before 11.00 a.m. on 2-6-2011. The tenders will be opened

on the same day at 3.00 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers,

who are present.

4. The intending tenderers may inspect the said articles

during office hours on any working day in the Government

Law College, Mathur Road, Kalapet, Puducherry.

5. The intending bidders before the commencement

of auction should deposit an earnest money of ` 300

(Rupees three hundred only) in cash. The earnest money

deposit of the unsuccessful bidders will be refunded after

the auction is over.

6. The successful tenderer should pay the total cost

immediately and remove the articles within 24 hours

at his own expenses from the office premises. No claim

about the quantity, quality and the value of the sold

goods will be admitted once the tender is finalised.

7. Sales tax will be collected as per rules.

for purchase of old newspapers and magazines” and to

reach this office on or before 7-6-2011 by 11.00 a.m.

Tenders will be opened at 11.00 a.m. on the same day

in the presence of the tenderers at the Office of the

Principal, Arignar Anna Government Arts College,

Karaikal.

The intending tenderers should deposit an amount

of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money

deposit. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded immediately after the tender

is over. Tenders received after due date and time will

be rejected.

The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender without assigning any reason thereof.

The old newspapers and magazines will be weighed

by the electronic weighing machine available in the

college.

The successful tenderer should pay the full amount

immediately and clear the items within 24 hours at his

own cost and risk, failing which the earnest money

deposit will be forfeited. No claim on the quantity and

quality of the articles will be admitted once the tender

is finalised.

Sales tax at the rate applicable will be charged. The

intending tenderers can inspect the articles on all

working days during the library hours. In case of any

dispute, the decision of the Principal, Arignar Anna

Government. Arts College, Karaikal will be final.

2. Tenders superscribed as “Tender for the purchase

of old newspapers and scrap-waste papers” should be

addressed in a sealed cover to the undersigned so as

to reach this office on or before 10-6-2011 at 3.00 p.m.

The received tenders will be opened on the same day

at 4.00 p.m. in the presence of those tenderers or their

representatives who are present at that time.

3. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum of

` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) in cash as earnest

money deposit before submitting their tenders. The

deposit of the earnest money deposit of the

unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded after

finalisation of the tenders.

4. Tenders received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

5. If the opening day of the tenders happens

to be a holiday, the same will be opened on the next

working day.

6. The successful tenderer should pay the entire

amount immediately along with the sales tax if any and

clear all the items within 24 hours at his own risk and

cost, failing which earnest money deposit will be

forfeited into Government account. The selected

tenderer weigh the scrap-waste papers and old

newspapers on his own arrangement.

7. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender or all of them without assigning any

reason thereof.

8. No claim on the quantity and quality of the old

newspapers and scrap-waste papers will be admitted

once the tender is finalised.

9. The intending tenderers may inspect the old

newspapers and scrap-waste papers at this office during

office hours from 1-6-2011 onwards.

10. In cases any dispute arises, the decision of the

undersigned shall be final and binding.
