TENDER-CUM-PUBLIC AUCTION NOTICE

For and on behalf of the President of India, the

Assistant Director of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare,

Mahe invites sealed tender for sale of unused boiled rice

belongs to this Department in as-is-where-is condition as

mentioned below.

Terms and conditions

1. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Assistant Director of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare,

Mahe duly superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for

purchase of unused boiled rice” and should reach this

office on or before 25-8-2011 at 12.00 noon. The tenders

will be opened on the same day at 3.00 p.m. in the

presence of tenderers at the office of the undersigned.

2. The rice should not be used for human consumption

and it may be used some other purposes only.

3. The rate should be quoted per kilogram for the

following items separately in single quotation .

4. The highest rate quoted will be treated as minimum

cost price and then public auction will be commenced in

the presence of tender-cum-public auction committee

immediately. During the public auction the tenderers

should ask rate for both lot 1 and 2. No separate public

auction for lot 1 and 2.

5. The intending bidder should deposit an earnest

money deposit of ` 4,000 (Rupees four thousand only)

along with sealed tender in cash with this office while

submitting the tender. The earnest money deposit of the

unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded on the same day

soon after the completion of auction.

6. The successful tenderer should pay the entire

amount soon after completion of auction at once and

should clear auctioned materials at his own arrangement/

cost before 5.00 p.m. on the same day failing which the

earnest money deposit will be forfeited and remitted in

to Government account without any intimation.

7. Sales tax will be charged extra as per the rate

applicable at the time of auction.

8. No claim of quantity and quality of the article will

be admitted once the auction is over.

9. The intending tenderers can inspect the rice during

office hours with the permission of the Assistant

Director of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Mahe.

10. The tenders offered after the due date and time

will be rejected.

11. The tender-cum-public auction committee

reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without

assigning any reason therefor. If the tender date falls on

a holiday, the tender will be received and opened by the

same time on the next working day.

12. The auction is subject to the discretion of the

undersigned whose decision will be final in case of

dispute.
