NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under section 9A of the

Pondicherry Village and Commune Panchayats Act, 1973 and 15A of the Pondicherry

Municipalities Act, 1973 and in supersession of the previous Order No. SEC/1-50/

Civic Elect./2006/70, dated 23-2-2006, the following officials of Government of

Puducherry are designated as Secretaries/Joint Secretary to the State Election

Commission for the regions noted against their names in the Table given below,

for the purpose of effective supervision and coordination of elections

to Municipalities and Panchayats. Their duties will include, inter alia, supervision

and coordination of activities for conduct of smooth, fair, free and peaceful election
