NOTIFICATION

S. O. (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (1) of

Article 239 of the Constitution, the President hereby directs that the Administrators

of Union Territories (whether known as Administrator or Lieutenant-Governor)

shall, subject to the control of the President and until further orders, also

exercise the powers and discharge the functions of the State Government under

section 357 A of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974) within their

respective Union Territories.
