adjudication to the Industrial Tribunal, Puducherry;
(1) Whether the dispute raised by Thiru B. Sivarama
Sastry and other 53 workers against the management
of M/s. Regency Ceramics Limited, Yanam over
their non-employment are justified?
(2) W h e t h e r t h e d i s p u t e r a i s e d b y
Thiru Sattibabu and other 620 workers against the

Yanam over refusal of employment are justified?
(3) Whether the dispute raised by the workers

LA GAZETTE DE L’ETAT
Whereas, the management of M/s. Regency
Ceramics Limited, Yanam, vide letter, dated 24-5-2012,
has stated that in the meeting held on 10th May 2012
it was tentatively agreed to lift the lock-out
on 20-5-2012. But subsequently they have stated that
as the insurance company has to furnish a detailed
survey report on the damages done to the plant and
machineries which is under process, they require
some more time to consider to lift the lock-out. But,
so far, no steps have been taken by the management
to lift the lock-out;
And whereas, the Government after examining the
issues and the circumstances of the disputes and also
considering the long years of service of workmen
involved in the dispute and to restore industrial
peace the Government issued show cause notice to
the management vide No. 8478/AIL/Lab./J/2012,
dated 22-10-2012 to lift the lock-out and the
management so far failed to comply with the same;
And whereas, in order to restore industrial peace
the Government has decided that the lock-out
observed by the management of M/s. Regency Ceramics
Limited and M/s. Regma Packaging (P) Limited,
Yanam to all the workers should be prohibited;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred
by section 10(3) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947,
the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry hereby issues
the following order:-
Pending adjudication of the industrial disputes
referred to the Industrial Tribunal, Puducherry in the

dated 7-6-2012, the Government prohibit the
continuance of t h e l o c k - o u t declared by the
management of M/s. Regency Ceramics Limited
