NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the award in I.D. No. 8/2012, dated
24-1-2013 of the Labour Court, Puducherry in respect
of the industrial dispute between the Managing
Director, M/s. Deekay Exports Limited, Puducherry and
its workman Thiru A.T. Krishnamoorthy, over full and
final settlement for a period of 14 years has been
received;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred
by sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Industrial
Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947) read
with the notification issued in Labour Department’s
G.O. Ms. No. 20/91/Lab./L, dated 23-5-1991, it is hereby
directed by Secretary to Government (Labour) that the
said award shall be published in the official gazette,
Puducherry.

This industrial dispute coming on this day for
hearing before me in the presence of Thiru L. Swaminathan
and I. Ilankumar, Advocates for the petitioner and
respondent called absent set ex parte and upon perusing
the case records, this court made the following:
ORDER
This industrial dispute arises out of the reference
made by the Government under section 10 (1) (c) of the
Industrial Disputes Act in G.O. Rt.No. 23 AIL/ Lab./
J/2012, dated 29-2-2012. The Government made the
following reference :
(a) W h e t h e r t h e d i s p u t e r ai s e d b y
Thiru A.T. Krishnamoorthy against the management
of M/s. Deekay Exports Limited, Puducherry, over
full and final settlement for a period of 14 years is
justified ?
(b) If justified, what relief, the petitioner is entitled to?
(c) To compute the relief, if any, awarded in terms
of money, if it can be so computed.
2. Today this petition was called. PW.1 present.
Proof affidavit filed. Exs. P.1 to P. 10 marked. Claim
proved. Petitioner is entitled for retrenchment compensation
as per law in force and additional compensation of
` 2,00,000 (two lakhs). The petitioner is also entitled to
gratuity and provident fund for which he is eligible from
the concerned authorities. He is not entitled for any
separate certificate as prayed. No costs.

Approval of the Lieutenant-Governor is accorded for the
revised standing order prescribing the educational
qualification for the selection of Home Guards in Puducherry

following standing order prescribing the educational
qualifications for the recruitment of Home Guards (Male

NOTIFICATION
The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to
appoint Thiru P. Sundararajan, Villivakkam, Chennai,
who has been allotted to the Union territory of
Puducherry by DoPT, Government of India on the
basis of the results of Civil Services Examination, 2009
to Grade-II of Pondicherry Civil Service with effect
from the forenoon of 25-4-2013 subject to the
conditions mentioned in the Offer of Appointment
Letter No. A.19011/1/2013/DPAR/SS-I(1), dated
3-4-2013

Administrative Reforms, Puducherry.
2. The Lieutenant-Governor, is also pleased to
order that Thiru P. Sundararajan will be a probationer
in the Pondicherry Civil Service for a period of two
years from the forenoon of 25-4-2013.
3. Thiru P. Sundararajan shall take the oath of
allegiance before the Under Secretary to Government
(Establishment), Chief Secretariat, Puducherry and
furnish surety bond in the prescribed pro forma
within ten days from the date of this notification. The
schedule of training programme will be as per the
Annexure.

COMMERCIAL TAXES DEPARTMENT
No.4077/CTD/VAT/2011.
Puducherry, the 14th May 2013.
ORDER
Directions were issued vide this Office Order No. 4077/
CTD/VAT/2011, dated 23-4-2013, mandating dealers who
are paying tax of ` 1 lakh or more to compulsorily pay
the amount through e-payment mode. Representations
were received from various trade and industries expressing
certain difficulties in opening the account with the five
banks enabled for e-payment.
2. The issue has been examined and in order to facilitate
smooth transition to e-payment mode it is hereby
directed that the said order, dated 23-4-2013 will take effect
from June 2013, return payable in July 2013 instead of
April 2013, return due in May 2013.

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to
declare local holiday on 21-5-2013 (Tuesday) for all
Government Offices and Institutions in Karaikal District
on account of Car Festival of Sri Dharbaranyeswaraswamy
Devasthanam, Thirunallar, Karaikal, which will not be
a holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
The 25-5-2013 (Saturday) will be a working day in lieu
thereof.
