NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to

appoint Ms. Rachna Singh, who has been allotted to

the Pondicherry Police Service by Department of

Personnel and Training, Government of India on the basis

of the reserve list of Civil Services Examination, 2010,

to the entry grade of Pondicherry Police Service

(Group “B”) in the pay scale of PB-2: ` 9,300-34,800

with Grade Pay of ` 4,800 with effect from the

forenoon of 5-6-2013, subject to the conditions

mentioned in the letter of offer of Appointment

No. A12021/01/2012/Home/P1, dated 28-9-2012 and

O.M., dated 12-3-2013 of the Home Department,

Puducherry.

2. The Lieutenant-Governor is also pleased to

order that Ms. Rachna Singh will be a probationer in

the entry grade of Pondicherry Police Service for a

period of two years from the forenoon of 5-6-2013.

Sealed tenders quoting the rate per kilogram (excluding

2. Sealed tenders should be addressed to the

“Principal, Maraimalai Adigal Government Higher Secondary

School, Embalam, Puducherry” duly superscribing on the

envelope as “Tender for the purchase of old/condemned

library books, old newspapers and the old answer sheet

papers ” and they should reach this office on or before

22-7-2013 at 4.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened at

10.00 a.m. on the next day in the presence of the tenderers,

if any.

3. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum of

` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money deposit

to the Vice-Principal, Office of the Principal, Maraimalai Adigal

Government Higher Secondary School, Embalam,

Puducherry before submission of the tender. The tenders

without earnest money deposit will be summarily rejected.

4. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender sale

is over, whereas, the earnest money deposit of the successful

tenderer will be returned after the work is completed in all

respects.

5. Tenders received after the due date and time will not

be entertained.

6. The successful tenderer should pay the full amount

including sales tax as applicable under rules in force

and clear all the above items within 2 days from the

Maraimalai Adigal Government Higher Secondary School,

Embalam, Puducherry at his own cost, failing which the

entire amount of earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

7. No claim about the quantity and quality of the

condemned books will be admitted once the tender is finalised.

Sales tax will be charged as per rates as applicable under

rules in force.

8. The intending tenderers can inspect the old/

condemned library books, old newspapers and the old answer

sheet papers during office hours in the Maraimalai Adigal

Government Higher Secondary School, Embalam, Puducherry

with prior permission of the undersigned.

9. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject

any tender in part or whole without assigning any reason

thereof.

10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned

will be the final.

AUCTION NOTICE

The old obsolete and unserviceable sports articles as

listed in the Annexure belonging to this institution will

be auctioned in one lot as-is-where-is condition in public

auction at 11.00 a.m. on 25-7-2013 in the premises of the

Government Higher Secondary School, Oulgaret,

Puducherry-10. The auction will be conducted by the

Principal of this institution.

Terms and conditions

1. Tenders in sealed cover should be addressed to

the Principal, Government Higher Secondary School,

Oulgaret, Puducherry-10. The intending tenderers should

deposit an amount of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only)

in cash towards earnest money deposit to the Cashier,

Government Higher Secondary School, Oulgaret,

Puducherry-10, between 10.00 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.

on 25-7-2013.

2. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded immediately after the auction

is finalised.

3. The successful tenderer should pay the entire

amount soon after the auction is over and clear the

auctioned articles at his own cost within 24 hours failing

which the office will not be held responsible either for

the safe custody or for loss or damage of the articles

once auction sale is over.

4. Sales tax (VAT) will be charged extra as per the rate

applicable at the time of auction for the bid amount.

5. No claim on the quantity and quality of the articles

will be admitted once the auction sale is over.

6. The intending tenderers can inspect the articles

during the office hours with the prior permission of the

undersigned.

7. The tenders received after the due date and time

will be rejected.

8. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender without assigning any reason thereof.

If the tender date falls on any holiday, the next working

day will be the date of tender sale.
