ORDER

Whereas, Shri A. Nagooran Stalin, Construction

Helper (Work Charged) had been convicted on a criminal

charge under section 302 IPC and sentenced to undergo

life imprisonment and was asked to pay fine of ` 1,000 in

default to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of

fifteen days, by the learned Additional Session

Judge, Puducherry at Karaikal in S.C.No. 30/2010,

dated 19-10-2010 as the prosecution has proved that

the said official had the intention to murder the injured

Rajalakshmi and he has caused her death by doing an act

with an intention of causing such bodily injuries as is

likely to cause death;

And whereas, he had appealed in the Hon'ble High Court

of Judicature at Madras against the said judgment of

learned Additional Sessions Judge, Karaikal and the

Hon'ble High Court had allowed the appeal and held

on 1-7-2011 in C.A. No. 682/2010 that the accused

A. Nagooran Stalin was guilty of having

caused a grievous injury viz., fracture of C5 bone in

the spinal column of the victim Rajalakshmi by assaulting

her with the hand and foot and thereby committed an

offence under section 325 of IPC and modified the sentence

and imposed the punishment of three years of rigorous

imprisonment and a fine of ` 1,000 in default to undergo

15 days simple imprisonment and consequently he was

imprisoned on 19-10-2010 and was released on 27-1-2013

after he earned a remission for 7 months 24 days;

And whereas, it is considered that the conduct of the

said Thiru A. Nagooran Stalin, Construction Helper (Work

Charged) which has led to his conviction is such as to render

his further retention in the public service undesirable;

And whereas, Thiru A. Nagooran Stalin was given an

opportunity of personal hearing and offer his written

explanation;

And whereas, the said Thiru A. Nagooran Stalin,

Construction Helper (Work Charged) has given a written

explanation which has been duly considered by the

undersigned;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by

rule 19(1) of the CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965, the undersigned

hereby dismisses the said Thiru A. Nagooran Stalin,

Construction Helper (Work Charged) from service with

immediate effect.

NOTIFICATION

It is hereby notified that the original S.S.L.C. Mark

Certificate, bearing Register Number 325542 of March 1995,

in respect of D. Pandiyan, an ex-pupil of Government

Higher Secondary School, Karayambuthur is reported to

have been lost and beyond the scope of recovery and it

is proposed to issue a duplicate certificate. If the

original certificate is to be found by anybody, it should

be sent to the Director of Government Examinations,

Chennai-6 for cancellation, as it is no longer valid.

3. The tenders in sealed covers superscribed as

“Tender for the purchase of old empty barrels and used

oil with barrels (210 litres capacity)” should be addressed

to the Executive Engineer, Port Department, Puducherry

and reach the office on or before 19-8-2013 at 10.30 a.m.

The tenders will be opened on the same day at 11.00 a.m.

in the presence of tenderers or their authorised

representatives who are present. Tenders received after

the due date and time will be rejected.

4. The intending tenderers should deposit an earnest

money deposit of ` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only)

in cash to the Cashier at the time of submitting the sealed

tenders. The tenders without earnest money deposit will

be rejected. The earnest money deposit will be refunded

to the unsuccessful tenderers after finalisation of the

tenders.

5. If the tender opening day happens to be a public

holiday, the same will be opened on the next working

day. Any incomplete tender received is liable for

rejection.

6. The highest bidder/tenderer should pay the total

cost of the empty oil barrels and used oil with barrels

including sales tax immediately and the items should be

removed from the stores of Port Department at once or

within 24 hours at his own expenses.

7. No claim about the quantity and quality or the value

of the sold goods will be admitted once the tender is

finalised.

8. The undersigned reserves the right either to accept

or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any

reason thereof.

9. The intending tenderers may inspect the said items

at this office stores during office hours from 12-8-2013.
