The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry has been pleased to

amend the scheme namely “Awarding of Tamil ‘Maamani’, ‘Telugu

Ratna’ and ‘Malayala Ratna’ Award to the Aged Eminent Scholars of

Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam Languages” as notified in the

AMENDMENT

1. Amendment of para 4 of the scheme.— In the abovesaid

scheme, in para No. 4 in clause (a) for the words, figures and brackets

“Gold medal of 3 sovereign (24 gms.) and cash award of ` 30,000

(Rupees thirty thousand only)” the words, figures and brackets “Each

person selected shall be awarded an amount of ` 75,000 (Rupees

seventy-five thousand only) as cash purse alongwith a certificate”

shall be substituted.

2. The other conditions of the abovesaid Government order

remains unaltered.

3. This notification shall come into force on and from the date

of its publication in the official gazette.

4. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department

vide their U. O. No. 1258/F4/2013, dated 4-7-2013.
