NOTIFICATION

The Book Selection Committee for the Government

Branch Libraries, Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam

regions including Romain Rolland Library was

reconstituted vide Notification No. 19339/Edn/Sectt./E6/2011,

dated 24-3-2008 appended to G.O. Ms. No. 26,

dated 24-3-2008 of the Chief Secretariat (Art and Culture),

Puducherry having expired, the Government have

decided to reconstitute the tenure of the Book Selection

Committee for all the Government Public/Branch

Libraries as well as the Romain Rolland Library,

Puducherry as detailed in the Annexure.

2. The Member-Secretary of the committee shall make

necessary arrangements for convening the meeting as

and when necessary.

3. The Member-Secretary may however, obtain

approval of the Chairman of the committee for the list of

books to be purchased for the Branch Libraries,

Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam and Romain Rolland

Library, Puducherry.

4. The term of office of the committee shall be from

the date of issue of this order till the necessity therefor

ceases.

5. This committee shall approve the books to be

purchased for the Government Branch Libraries,

Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam and Romain Rolland

Library, Puducherry.

Venkataraman, a senior Judge of the High Court of

Judicature at Madras as the Executive Chairperson of

the Union Territory of Puducherry Legal Services

Authority, Puducherry with effect from the date of

assumption of office vice Mrs. Justice R. Banumathi,

a senior Judge of the High Court of Judicature at

Madras, who has been recommended for appointment as

the Executive Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu State

Legal Services Authority.

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders are invited for the sale of

unserviceable articles of Mahatma Gandhi Government

Arts College, Chalakkara, Mahe.

2. The intending tenderers may inspect the items

in the stores section of this office from 9.00 a.m.

to 12.00 noon during the working days.

3. The abovesaid items are kept in the stores

in as-is-where-is condition for public auction. The

list of articles are listed in the Annexture is placed in

the notice-board of this institution.

4. The tenders should be addressed to the

Principal, Mahatma Gandhi Government Arts College,

Chalakkara, New Mahe (P. O.)—673 311 duly

superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for

purchase of unserviceable articles” which should reach

the undersigned on or before 19-8-2013 at 3.00 p.m.

The tenders received will be opened on the same day

at 4.00 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers or the

representatives who are present. If the scheduled

date of auction happens to be a holiday, the day of

the receipt and opening of tenders will automatically

be postponed to the next working day at the same

time.

5. The earnest money deposit of ` 5,000 (Rupees

five thousand only) should be deposited along with

the tenders. The earnest money deposit will be

returned to the unsuccessful tenderers after

completing the tender process.

6. The successful tenderer should pay the entire

amount plus sales tax immediately after the

confirmation of the tender sale and take delivery of

the articals at his own risk. The articles should be

removed from the college by the successful tenderer

within two days after completing the tender process.

7. The undersigned reserves the right to cancel

or postpone the tender without assigning any reason.

8. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

Principal, Mahatma Gandhi Government Arts College,

Mahe will be the final.
