Conditions for sale

1. The sealed tenders should be addressed to

the Director, Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries,

Puducherry duly superscribing on the envelope

as “Tender for purchase of old/unserviceable

articles” and sent to reach the undersigned on or

before 23-8-2013 at 12.00 noon. The tenders will be

opened at 3.00 p.m. on the same day in the presence

of attending tenderers.

2. The highest rate quoted will be treated as

minimum bid amount and then the public auction will

be started.

3. The intending bidders should deposit an

earnest money deposit of ` 1,000 (Rupees one

thousand only) along with the sealed tenders.

The earnest money deposit of unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded on the same day soon

after completion of auction.

4. The successful tenderer should pay the entire

amount soon after completion of auction and should

clear the auctioned materials at his own arrangements/

cost before 5.00 p.m. on the same day failing which

the Directorate will not be held responsible either

for the safe custody or loss or damage of articles

once auction is over.

5. Sales tax will be charged extra as per the

applicable rate at the time of auction for the bid

amount.

6. No claim on the quantity of the articles will be

admitted once the auction is over.

7. The intending tenderers can inspect the

unserviceable articles during the office hours up to

12.00 noon on 23-8-2013 with the permission of the

undersigned.

8. The tenders offered after the due date and time

will be rejected.

9. The undersigned reserves the right to accept

or reject any bid without assigning any reason

therefor.

10. Auction sale is subject to discretion of the

undersigned whose decision will be final in case of

any dispute.
