NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under section 3 of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (Central Act 10

of 1955) read with the Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture (Department of Food) Order No. G.S.R. 800,

dated the 9th June 1978, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to make the following amendment to the

Pondicherry Paddy and Rice Procurement (Levy) Order, 1996 issued in G.O. Ms. No. 32/96, dated 10th December

1996 and amended vide the G.O. Ms. No. 4/1997, dated 6-5-1997 and G.O. Ms. No. 6, dated 9-6-2010, namely:–

Amendment to clause 4.— In the Pondicherry Paddy and Rice Procurement (Levy) Order, 1996, in the

sub-clause 4 (1), for the words “50 per cent.”, the words “twenty-five” shall be substituted.

It shall come into force with effect from 1st October 2013.
