Puducherry is hereby pleased to make the following rules further

to amend the Puducherry Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 1999

notified vide G.O. Ms. No. l72/LAS/99-2000, dated 29th December 1999

and published in Part-II of the Extraordinary Gazette No. 53, dated

30th December 1999, namely :—

1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be

called as the Puducherry Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment)

Rules, 2013.

(2) They shall come into force with immediate effect.

2. Amendment of Form No. 2.— In the Puducherry Registration of

Births and Deaths Rules, 1999 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules),

in Form No. 2 appended thereunder, for the entries in column No. 5, the

following shall be substituted, namely :–

“5. Name of Father:

5a. Name of Husband/Wife:”

3. Amendment of Form No. 6.— In the said rules, in Form No. 6

appended thereunder, for the entries in column No. 6, the following

shall be substituted, namely :–

“6. Name of Father:

6a. Name of Husband/Wife:”
