No. 20/DM/RO/D2/PPASAA/2013.

Proclamation under section 8 (2) (a) of the Puducherry Prevention of Anti-

Social Activities Act, 2008 and under section 82 of Cr.P.C requiring the appearance

of a detenu under Puducherry Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act, 2008

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, a detention order was issued against Thiru Jegan @

Jeganathan, S/o. Ezhumalai, No. 395, LIG Housing Board Quarters, Kurumampet,

Puducherry vide Order No. 20/DM/RO/D2/PPASAA/2013, dated 15-10-2013 under

the provisions of Puducherry Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act, 2008

(Act No. 10 of 2010) and the said detention order had also been approved by the

Government of Puducherry, within the stipulated period of 12 days as prescribed

in the said Act vide G.O. Ms. No. 60, dated 22-10-2013 of Home Department,

Puducherry;

And whereas, the Station House Officer, Mettupalayam Police Station,

Puducherry has reported that from the date of issue of detention order, the

abovesaid detenu is found absconded and is evading the execution of the said

detention order and his whereabouts are not known and all necessary efforts were

taken by Station House Officer, Mettupalayam Police Station, Puducherry to secure

and detain Thiru Jegan @ Jeganathan under the abovesaid detention order, but

still he is found absconding, concealing himself and evading his arrest and efforts

are being continued to execute the detention order made against him;

And whereas, it has been shown to my satisfaction that the detenu Thiru Jegan @

Jeganathan has absconded or concealing himself and evading his arrest;

Therefore, proclamation is hereby made that the said detenu Thiru Jegan @

Jeganathan, S/o. Ezhumalai, No. 395, LIG Housing Board Quarters, Kurumampet,

Puducherry is required to appear before undersigned at I Floor, Revenue Complex,

Kamaraj Salai, Saram, Puducherry-605 013, to answer the report of the Station House

Officer, Mettupalayam Police Station, Puducherry on the 16th day of December 2013.
