NOTIFICATION

S.O. (E).— In pursuance of clause (1) of Article 239 of the Constitution,

the President hereby directs that the Administrators of Union Territories of Andaman

and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu,

Lakshadweep and Puducherry (whether known as Lieutenant-Governor or

Administrator) shall, subject to the control of the President and until further orders,

also exercise the powers and discharge and functions of the State Government under

the Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005 (4 of 2006) within their

respective Union Territories.
