working days during office hours up to 1.00 p.m. on

payment of ` 312 (Rupees three hundred and twelve

only) inclusive of sales tax in cash or by demand draft,

3. Tender schedule can also be obtained by post on

payment of ` 360 (Rupees three hundred and sixty only)

inclusive of sales tax by sending a demand draft drawn

in favour of the Deputy Director, Government Branch

Press, Karaikal- 609 609 along with a requisition letter

addressed to the Deputy Director, Government Branch

draft for an amount of ` 312 (Rupees three hundred

and twelve only) inclusive of sales tax towards the cost

of the tender schedule shall be enclosed in addition to

the demand draft for earnest money deposit.

4. The completed tender schedule in sealed cover

superscribed as “Tender-cum-Public Auction for the

purchase of condemned and unserviceable machineries/

materials” and addressed to the Deputy Director,

Government Branch Press, Kottucherry, Karaikal-609 609

should be sent on or before 5-3-2014 at 1.00 p.m. and

the tenders will be opened at 4.00 p.m. on the same day

in the presence of the undersigned and tenderers those

who are present. The highest rate quoted will be treated

as minimum upset price and then public auction will be

started immediately. Tender received after the due date

and time will be summarily rejected.

AUCTION NOTICE

Certain unserviceable condemned wooden furniture

and machineries (one lot) listed in the Annexure

belonging

to

the

Government

Branch

Press,

Mettupalayam will be disposed off through public

auction by the Deputy Director or by any authorised

officer in the premises of the Government Branch Press,

Mettupalayam at 4.00 p.m. on 26-2-2014.

Conditions of sale

1. The old furniture and machineries can be seen

on the preceding day of the date of auction in the

Branch Press, Mettupalayam, Puducherry.

2. Each bidder should deposit a sum of ` 2,000

as the earnest money deposit by cash one hour

before the commencement of auction i.e., by 3.00 p.m. on

26-2-2014, and the same will be refunded to the

unsuccessful bidder at the end of the auction. The

successful bidder should pay the amount in cash

including VAT immediately.

3. The said articles must be removed at the

expense of the buyer within 24 hours of the

settlement of the auction. No claim about the quantity

and the value of the said articles will be admitted

after finalisation of auction.

4. The Deputy Director has the right to reject the

bid or cancel the auction without assigning any

reason.
