Act, 1878 (Act No. 6 of 1878) that a brass statue of Goddess ‘Kali’ as described in the Schedule was excavated

while digging sand in the burial ground at Thiru Nagar Village, Karaikal. The Station House Officer, Town Police

Station, Karaikal, handed over this idol along with FIR to the Deputy Collector (Revenue), Karaikal.

All persons who claim the finding are hereby required to appear before the Deputy Collector (Revenue)

Karaikal, performing the functions of the Collector under the Indian Treasure Trove Act, 1878 at his chamber on any

working day not being earlier than four months or later than 6 months after the date of first publication of this

notification in the State Gazette and prefer their claims.

The matter will be taken up for consideration and disposed of in accordance with the provisions of the

Indian Treasure Trove Act, 1878.

Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an

industrial dispute has arisen between the management

of M/s. Rohit India Private Limited, Puducherry and its

workwoman Tmt. Selvi, over non-employment in

respect of the matter mentioned in the Annexure to

this order;

And whereas, in the opinion of the Government,

it is necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication;

Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated

vide G.O. Ms. No. 20/90/Lab/1, dated 23-5-1991 of the

Labour Department, Puducherry to exercise the powers

conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 10 of

it is hereby directed by Secretary to Government (Labour)

that the said dispute be referred to the Labour Court,

Puducherry for adjudication. The Labour Court,

Puducherry shall pass the award within 3 months from

the date of issue of reference as stipulated under

sub-section (2-A) of section 10 of the Industrial

Disputes Act, 1947 and in accordance with rule 10-B

of the Industrial Disputes (Central) Rules, 1957.

The party raising the dispute shall file a statement of

claim complete with relevant documents, list of reliance

and witnesses to the Labour Court, Puducherry within

15 days of the receipt of the order of reference and also

forward a copy of such statement to each one of the

opposite parties involved in the dispute.

The following draft of the proposal for fixation of the minimum rates of wages payable to the employees under

employment in domestic works in the Union territory of Puducherry, which the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry

proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred on him under clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 3 read with

sub-section (1) of section 13 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central Act 11 of 1948) is hereby published as required

under clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 5 of the said Act for information of all persons likely to be affected

thereby and notice is hereby given that the said proposal will be taken into consideration by the Government of

Puducherry after the expiry of sixty days from the date of publication of the said proposal in the official gazette, Puducherry.

2. Any objections or suggestions, which may be received from any person with respect to the proposal before

the expiry of the period specified above, will be considered by the Government of Puducherry. The objections or

suggestions should be addressed to the Secretary to Government, Labour Department, Puducherry.

NOTE

1. Dearness allowance : In addition to the above minimum wages, the employees shall be paid dearness

allowance as follows:—

(i) The dearness allowance shall be linked to the Puducherry City Consumer Price Index for the month

of June 2013 i.e., 239 points (with base year 2001=100) and for every raise of 1 point over and above 416

points, an increase of ` 0.4 (Four paise only) per day in respect of employees engaged in employment in

domestic works shall be paid.

(ii) The revision of dearness allowance shall be effective from the 1st April of every year on the basis of

the average of the indices of the preceding twelve months (i.e.) from January to December.

(iii) The first calculation shall thus be effective from the date of publication of this notification in the

official gazette, Puducherry Government, based on the average Puducherry City Consumer Price Index of

the previous year.

2. Where the nature of work is the same, no discrimination in the payment of wages shall be made in the case

of men and women workers.

3. To arrive at daily rates of wages, the monthly wages shall be divided by 26.

4. To arrive at monthly rates of wages, the daily rates of wages shall be multiplied by 30.

5. Wherever the existing wages are higher than the minimum wages fixed herein, the same higher wages shall

continued to be paid.

Puducherry, the 20th January 2014.

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders are invited for the sale of old/outdated

free supply textbooks in various sections/offices/schools

of this Directorate in as-is-where-is condition.

2. The rate should be quoted as detailed below :

3. The tenders in plain paper should be sealed and

addressed to the Deputy Director (Elementary

Education), Directorate of School Education, Puducherry,

duly superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for

purchase of old/outdated free supply textbooks” and sent

to reach the undersigned on or before 20-2-2014

at 4.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened on the same day

at 4.30 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers who are present.

4. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount

of ` 2,000 (Rupees two thousand only) as earnest money

deposit. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender

sale is over.

5. Tenders after the due date and time will be

rejected.

6. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason

thereof.

7. The successful tenderer should pay the full amount

immediately and clear the items within 24 hours at his

own risk and cost failing which the earnest money deposit

will be forfeited.

8. The intending tenderers may inspect the old/outdated

free supply textbooks during office hours on any working

day with the permission of the undersigned.

9. The successful tenderer should make his own

arrangements for the weighing of the said articles. The

items should be weighed with proper weighing-machine

and scale weight.

10. No claim on the quality and quantity of the articles

will be admitted once the tender is admitted.

11. VAT at the rate applicable will be charged.

12. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be final.
