TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders are invited for the sale of old/outdated

free supply textbooks in various sections/offices/schools

of this Directorate in as-is-where-is condition.

2. The rate should be quoted as detailed below :

3. The tenders in plain paper should be sealed and

addressed to the Deputy Director (Elementary

Education), Directorate of School Education, Puducherry,

duly superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for

purchase of old/outdated free supply textbooks” and sent

to reach the undersigned on or before 20-2-2014

at 4.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened on the same day

at 4.30 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers who are present.

4. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount

of ` 2,000 (Rupees two thousand only) as earnest money

deposit. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender

sale is over.

5. Tenders after the due date and time will be

rejected.

6. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason

thereof.

7. The successful tenderer should pay the full amount

immediately and clear the items within 24 hours at his

own risk and cost failing which the earnest money deposit

will be forfeited.

8. The intending tenderers may inspect the old/outdated

free supply textbooks during office hours on any working

day with the permission of the undersigned.

9. The successful tenderer should make his own

arrangements for the weighing of the said articles. The

items should be weighed with proper weighing-machine

and scale weight.

10. No claim on the quality and quantity of the articles

will be admitted once the tender is admitted.

11. VAT at the rate applicable will be charged.

12. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be final.

electronic items belonging to the Collectorate, Sub-

Collector (Revenue) and Office of the Tahsildar, Taluk

Office, Karaikal as detailed in the Annexure, kept inside

the premises of Collectorate, Karaikal in as-is-where-is

condition, by tender-cum-public auction on 20-2-2014 in

the Collectorate, Karaikal.

2. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Collector, Collectorate, Karaikal duly superscribed on

the envelope as “Tender for the purchase of old/

obsolete furniture and other articles” and to reach the

summarily rejected.

7. The VAT will be collected extra as per the rates

the items.

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are

invited for the disposal of old newspapers and

magazines (both Tamil and English) in the Office of the

Inspector-General of Police, Puducherry on annual

basis i.e., from 1-1-2014 to 31-12-2014.

2. The rates should be quoted for each item as

follows:

3. The tenders in sealed cover should be described

as “Tender for the purchase of old newspapers and

magazines on annual basis from 1-1-2014 to 31-12-2014”

addressed and sent to the Superintendent of Police (HQ),

Puducherry-605 001 so as to reach on or before 19-2-2014

at 12.00 hours or shoud be dropped into the tender box

placed at Office of the Superintendent of Police (HQ)

of this department before the due date mentioned above.

The tenders will be opened on 19-2-2014 at 17.00 hours

in the presence of available tenderers.

4. The intending tenderers should deposit an earnest

money deposit of ` 1000 (Rupees one thousand only)

through crossed demand draft before the submission of

the tenders in the Chief Stores of Police Department

located at Gorimedu, Puducherry and obtain temporary

receipt for it. The earnest money, deposited by the

unsuccessful bidders will be refunded after the tenders

are opened and decided and those of the successful

bidders will be converted into security deposit to be

kept in Government account as per procedure.

5. In the event of successful tenderer failing to pay

the cost in full and lift the newspapers and magazines

at the agreed rate at their own expenses before the close

of the fourth day counted from the date of receipt of

communication from this office, the security deposit will

be once and forever appropriated in favour of the

Government and the concerned individual will lose the

right of removal of the items for rest of the year also.

If the said fourth day happens to be a Government

holiday the deadline will be extended till the next working

day on receipt of a specific request in writing from the

bidder. No claim about the quantity, quality and value

of the sold goods will be admitted.

6. It may be noted that the undersigned reserves the

right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning

any reason. Contravention of the rules of tender notice

will result in the forfeiture of the earnest money deposit/

security deposit.

7. The removal of items from the office shall be only

during working hours.

8. Sales tax will be collected as per rules.

9. The successful tenderer should make his own

arrangements to weigh the old newspapers and

magazines subject to satisfaction of the undersigned

in regard to weighment.

10. Action will be taken for refund of security

deposit collected in respect of ‘non-defaulting tenderer’

after the close of the current year 2014.

11. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

Superintendent of Police (HQ), Police Department,

Puducherry will be final and legally binding.

materials along with terms and conditions can be

obtained in person from this Branch Press, on all

working days during office hours up to 1.00 p.m. on

payment of ` 312 (Rupees three hundred and twelve

only) inclusive of sales tax in cash or by demand draft,

drawn in favour of the Deputy Director, Government

Branch Press, Karaikal.

3. Tender schedule can also be obtained by post on

payment of ` 360 (Rupees three hundred and sixty only)

inclusive of sales tax by sending a demand draft drawn

in favour of the Deputy Director, Government Branch

Press, Karaikal- 609 609 along with a requisition letter

addressed to the Deputy Director, Government Branch

Press, Kottucherry, Karaikal-609 609. The tender

draft for an amount of ` 312 (Rupees three hundred

and twelve only) inclusive of sales tax towards the cost

of the tender schedule shall be enclosed in addition to

the demand draft for earnest money deposit.

4. The completed tender schedule in sealed cover

superscribed as “Tender-cum-Public Auction for the

purchase of condemned and unserviceable machineries/

materials” and addressed to the Deputy Director,

Government Branch Press, Kottucherry, Karaikal-609 609

should be sent on or before 5-3-2014 at 1.00 p.m. and

the tenders will be opened at 4.00 p.m. on the same day

in the presence of the undersigned and tenderers those

who are present. The highest rate quoted will be treated

as minimum upset price and then public auction will be

started immediately. Tender received after the due date

and time will be summarily rejected.

AUCTION NOTICE

Certain unserviceable condemned wooden furniture

and machineries (one lot) listed in the Annexure

belonging

the

Government

Branch

Press,

Mettupalayam will be disposed off through public

auction by the Deputy Director or by any authorised

officer in the premises of the Government Branch Press,

Mettupalayam at 4.00 p.m. on 26-2-2014.

Conditions of sale

1. The old furniture and machineries can be seen

on the preceding day of the date of auction in the

Branch Press, Mettupalayam, Puducherry.

2. Each bidder should deposit a sum of ` 2,000

as the earnest money deposit by cash one hour

before the commencement of auction i.e., by 3.00 p.m. on

26-2-2014, and the same will be refunded to the

unsuccessful bidder at the end of the auction. The

successful bidder should pay the amount in cash

including VAT immediately.

3. The said articles must be removed at the

expense of the buyer within 24 hours of the

settlement of the auction. No claim about the quantity

and the value of the said articles will be admitted

after finalisation of auction.

4. The Deputy Director has the right to reject the

bid or cancel the auction without assigning any

reason.
