NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal

Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 (Central Act 1 of 1996) read with Notification

S.O. 824(E), dated 5th December 1997 of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi and in

consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Madras, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry has been pleased

to exempt the posts of District Judge (Entry Level) and Civil Judge (Junior Division) covered under the

Puducherry Judicial Service (Cadre and Recruitment) Rules, 2008 from the provisions of the said section 33

in respect of persons with complete blindness and complete hearing impairment.
