Whereas, the following committees were constituted

and their terms extended up to 31-8-2013 for the

implementation of the Pulse Polio Immunization

Programme in the Union territory of Puducherry:

(iv) Pulse Polio Media Committee

2. Whereas, the Pulse Polio Immunization Programme

continues to be in existence and the Government of

India has decided to implement/conduct the programme

effectively. Accordingly, the Lieutenant-Governor,

Puducherry is pleased to extend the term of the

ORDER

The Lieutenant-Governor is pleased to constitute a

steering committee in the Union territory of Puducherry

to regulate the Food Safety and Standards Act, discuss

the critical issues, make decisions and guide the

department for the effective implementation of the Act.

The committee will consists the following:

The terms of reference:

(i) The above committee shall monitor the issue

of licences/registration to food business operators

of this Union Territory within the stipulated time

frame of 4th February 2014 under Food Safety and

Standards Act.

(ii) The committee shall discuss the critical issues,

take decisions and guide the department for effective

implementation of the Act.

(iii) The committee shall ensure availability of

safe food to the common people.

(iv) The committee shall co-ordinate among all

other departments concerned with Health, Consumer

Protection and Food.

(v) The steering committee shall review the work

of food safety and monitor the progress on the

implementation of Food Safety and Standards Act

and rules made thereunder.

2. This issues with the concurrence of Finance
