NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an

industrial dispute has been raised by Thiru Jayan, T,

Mahe against the management of M/s. Mahe

Transport Co-operative Society Limited, Mahe, over

non-payment of legal benefits such as compensation for

the period of service, gratuity, etc., in respect of the

matter mentioned in the Annexure to this order;

And whereas, in the opinion of the Government, it is

necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication;

Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated

vide G.O.Ms. No. 20/91/Lab., dated 23-5-1991 of the

Labour Department, Puducherry to exercise the powers

conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 10 of

the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947),

it is hereby directed by Secretary to Government (Labour)

that the said dispute be referred to the Labour Court,

Puducherry for adjudication. The Labour Court,

Puducherry shall submit the award within 3 months

from the date of issue of reference as stipulated

under sub-section (2-A) of section 10 of the Industrial

Disputes Act, 1947 and in accordance with rule 10-B of

the Industrial Disputes (Central) Rules, 1957. The party

raising the dispute shall file a statement of claim

complete with relevant documents, list of reliance and

witnesses to the Labour Court, Puducherry within

15 days of the receipt of the order of reference and also

forward a copy of such statement to each one of the

opposite parties involved in the dispute.

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are

invited for the disposal of old newspapers and

magazines (both Tamil and English) in the Office of the

Inspector-General of Police, Puducherry on an annual

basis i.e., from 1-1-2014 to 31-12-2014.

2. The rates should be quoted for each item as

follows:

3. The tenders in sealed cover should be described

as “Tender for the purchase of old newspapers and

magazines” on in annual basis from 1-1-2014 to

31-12-2014” addressed and sent to the Superintendent

of Police (HQ), Puducherry-605 001 so as to reach on or

before 27-3-2014 at 12.00 hours or shoud be dropped

into the tender box placed at Office of the

Superintendent of Police (HQ) of this department before

the due date mentioned above. The tenders will be

opened on 27-3-2014 at 17.00 hours in the presence of

available tenderers.

4. The intending tenderers should deposit an earnest

money of ` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only) through

crossed demand draft before submission of the tenders

in the Chief Stores of Police Department located

at Gorimedu, Puducherry and obtain temporary receipt

for it. The earnest money deposited by the unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded after the tenders are opened

and decided and those of the successful tenderer will

be converted into security deposit and to be kept in

Government account as per procedure.

5. In the event of successful tenderer failing to pay

the cost in full and lift the newspapers and magazines

at the agreed rate at their own expenses before the close

of the fourth day counted from the date of receipt of

communication from this office, the security deposit will

be once and forever appropriated in favour of the

Government and the concerned individual will lose the

right of removal of the items for rest of the year also.

If the said fourth day happens to be a Government

holiday, the deadline will be extended till the next

working day on receipt of a specific request in writing

from the tenderer. No claim about the quantity, quality

and value of the sold goods will be admitted.

6. It may be noted that the undersigned reserves the

right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning

any reason. Contravention of the rules of tender notice

will result in the forfeiture of the earnest money deposit/

security deposit.

7. The removal of items from the office shall be only

during working hours.

8. Sales tax will be collected as per rules.

9. The successful tenderer should make his own

arrangements to weigh the old newspapers and

magazines subject to satisfaction of the undersigned

in regard to weighment.

10. Action will be taken for refund of security

deposit collected in respect of non-defaulting tenderer

after the close of the current year 2014.

11. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

Superintendent of Police (HQ), Police Department,

Puducherry will be final and legally binding.
