NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the General Elections to Puducherry Parliamentary Constituency is scheduled to be held on 24-4-2014

in the Union territory of Puducherry;

And whereas, it is essential to ensure that the Elections are to be conducted in a free, fair and peaceful manner;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 199 of the Puducherry Excise Rules, 1970

the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry hereby directs that all the Arrack, Toddy and Liquor Shops, Clubs, Bars and

Restaurants serving liquor in the whole of the Union territory of Puducherry shall remain closed for three days

from 22-4-2014 to 24-4-2014 (both days inclusive).
