In exercise of the powers conferred by section 215

of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act No. 59 of

to approve and constitute the “Road Safety-High Level

Committee” in the road transport sector in the Union

2. The committee shall periodically review the road

safety scenario.

3. The committee shall decide the procedure and

methodology to be adopted for its functioning.

All Superintendent of Police are required to give

instructions to their subordinates to follow these

instructions strictly in filing the FIRs and charge sheets

and sending the case properties seized to the respective

courts and to extend their full co-operation.

This proceeding shall take effect from the forenoon

of 4th September 2014.

(G.O.Ms. No. 1/PRD/PF/2014, dated 8th September 2014)

ORDER

The Lieutenant-Governor is pleased to approve the

enhancement of the annual family income ceiling limit of

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) families from

` 24,000 to 75,000 as household income per annum only

for availing welfare measures in the Union territory of

Puducherry. This shall not be criteria for deciding the

BPL population for the Union territory of Puducherry.

2. This revision shall be effected accordingly in the

G.Os. issued earlier by various departments dealing

with welfare oriented schemes and in the G.O. Ms. No. 4,

dated 24-7-2002 issued by the Department of Civil

Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Puducherry.

3. This revision shall not be effected in the G.Os.

issued for all Socio-economic developmental beneficiary

schemes vide G.O. Ms. No. 12/2009-Wel.(SCW), dated

21-8-2009 and for the Puducherry Perunthalaivar

Kamaraj Centenary Housing Scheme for the Houseless

Poor vide G.O. Ms. No. 2/2014-Hg., dated 29-1-2014.

4. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance

Department vide U.O. No.1972/F5/A3, dated 4-8-2014.
