NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an
industrial dispute has arisen between the management
of M/s. Meirs Pharma (India) Private Limited, Karaikal
and its workmen Thiru P. Ramalingam and 28 others,
over non-employment in respect of the matter mentioned
in the Annexure to this order;
And whereas, in the opinion of the Government,
it is necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication;
Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated
vide G.O. Ms. No. 20/90/Lab./1, dated 23-5-1991 of the
Labour Department, Puducherry to exercise the powers
conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 10
of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of
1947), it is hereby directed by Secretary to Government
(Labour) that the said dispute be referred to the Labour
Court, Puducherry for adjudication. The Labour Court,
Puducherry shall pass the award within 3 months from
the date of issue of reference as stipulated under
sub-section (2-A) of section 10 of the Industrial
Disputes Act, 1947 and in accordance with rule 10-B
of the Industrial Disputes (Central) Rules, 1957. The
party raising the dispute shall file a statement of claim
complete with relevant documents, list of reliance and
witnesses to the Labour Court, Puducherry within 15 days
of the receipt of the order of reference and also forward
a copy of such statement to each one of the opposite
parties involved in the dispute.

Note: (i) Horizontal reservation for the post of Police Constable will be ensured as per rules for Ex-service
personnel (10%) and Meritorious Sports Persons (5%).

2. Eligibility conditions.—The applicant who are native of Union territory of Puducherry by virtue of
domicile or continuous residence in the Union territory of Puducherry for the last five years immediately preceding

3. Selection process.—The eligible applicant shall be issued call letter to appear for the following test.
The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in call letters. Candidates will have to undergo the

: Candidates will be screened first for height, chest and weight.
(ii) Physical efficiency test
: Candidates who satisfy the above conditions of physical
measurement will be admitted for the physical efficiency.

(ii) The written test will be in English, Hindi and Regional languages (i.e) for candidate from Puducherry
and Karaikal in Tamil, for Mahe in Malayalam and for Yanam in Telugu. The questions for General English shall be
only in English language.
(iii) For qualifying the written test the candidate should obtain a minimum of 40% in the case of General
candidates and 35% in respect of others.
Note: (i) Physical test, written test and medical examination will be held in Puducherry only.
(ii) The candidates will have to appear for the physical efficiency and written test at their own
expenses. SC candidates from other regions (Karaikal/Mahe/Yanam) are entitled to second class to and fro railway/

access their medical fitness as per the medical standards prescribed through the Standing Order issued by the
Government.

1. Mode of applying for the post of Police Constable (Male) in IRBn by direct recruitment is through online only.
2. Avoid registering multiple online applications and register only a single application. All multiple online

4. Separate photograph of the applicant is not required to be sent along with the online generated application.
5. Self-attested photocopy of certificates for educational qualification, nativity/residence/community
certificate issued by Revenue Department, Puducherry and certificate issued by Sainik Welfare for Ex-Servicemen
are to be enclosed along with the online generated application.
6. Applicant should note the computer generated unique application number and should quote the same in
all further correspondences to know his status of the application and also to get his hall ticket through online.

16. Since, the mode of applying is through online, change of data will not be entertained in future under

17. No correspondence will be entertained with regard to the recruitment process. Candidates are advised

It is hereby notified that the original S.S.L.C. Mark
Certificate under Register Number 501042 bearing Serial
No. SEC 3579960 of March 2006 session in respect of
N. Mohamed Abdul Hassan, an ex-pupil of Govindasamy
Pillai Government High School, Karaikal is reported to have
been lost beyond the scope of recovery and it is proposed
to issue a duplicate certificate. If the original certificate is
to be found by anybody, it should be sent to the Director
of Government Examinations, Chennai-6 for cancellation,
as it is no longer valid.
