ORDER

Whereas, an order was made vide reference cited

under sub-section (2) of section 126 of the Puducherry

Co-operative Societies Act, 1972, directing winding up of

the affairs of Sri Bharathi Mills Staff Co-operative Credit

Society Limited, No. P. 391;

And whereas, to complete the winding up process of

the said Society, a liquidator is to be appointed under

section 127 of the Act;

And whereas, the financing bank, viz., the Pondicherry

State Co-operative Bank was consulted in the matter of

appointment of liquidator, as required under sub-section (1)

of section 127 and the said bank has no objection for the

appointment of liquidator to the said Society;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred

on me under sub-section (1) of section 127 of the

Puducherry Co-operative Societies Act, 1972, I hereby

appoint Thiru N. Pugazhendhi, Co-operative Officer,

as the liquidator for the purpose of winding up of the

said Society.

Thiru N. Pugazhendhi, liquidator shall take into his

custody of all the properties, effects and actionable claims

to which the said Society is or appears to be entitled and

complete the liquidation proceedings as per law.

ORDER

The Government of India, Ministry of Health and

Family Welfare, Department of AIDS Control (DAC),

New Delhi, has signed Memorandum of Understanding

(MoU) with departments/ministries towards the agenda

of mainstreaming HIV and formed joint working group

at the National level to implement the provisions in

the MoU.

2. In order to roll out MoU at the States, State Aids

Control Societies, have been requested to constitute State

Level Joint Working Group involving the Department of

Higher Education, Department of Sports, Department of

Youth Affairs and Department of School Education to

extend the reach of HIV/AIDS prevention programmes in

Higher Education Institutions, disseminate youth specific

information through sports activities, Red Ribbon Clubs

and Adolescent Education Programme, etc.

3. Accordingly, a Joint Working Group in the Union

territory of Puducherry is constituted under the

Chairmanship of Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Health)

with the following composition:

5. The above Joint Working Group will meet once in

6 months and discuss and implement various measures

with a view to achieve the objective of prevention and

treatment of HIV/AIDS in Higher Educational Institutions

in the Union territory of Puducherry, as per the guidelines

of the Government of India, Department of Health and

Family Welfare, Department of AIDS Control, National

Aids Control Organisation.

Whereas, an order was made vide reference cited

under sub-section (1) of section 126 of the Puducherry

Co-operative Societies Act, 1972, directing the winding

up of the affairs of the Shreem Co-operative Housing

Society Limited, P. No. 687;

And whereas, the financing bank was consulted in the

matter of appointment of liquidator, as required under

sub-section (1) of section 127 of the said Act;

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the Government have considered it desirable

that the Yanam Market Committee, Yanam shall consist

solely of members appointed by nomination and have

decided to exempt the Yanam Market Committee from

the provisions of sections 9 and 11 of the Puducherry

Produce Market Act, 1973 (Act No. 3 of 1974) for a

period of two years from the date of issue of this

notification;

2. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred

by section 37 of the Puducherry Agricultural Produce

Market Act, 1973 (Act No. 3 of 1974), the Lieutenant-

Governor, Puducherry hereby exempts the Yanam Market

Committee, Yanam from the provisions of sections 9 and 11

of the said Act and constitute the Yanam Market

Committee, Yanam for a period of two years from the

date of issue of this notification, subject to the following

conditions:

for the above period.
