RE-TENDER NOTICE
Sealed tenders quoting the rate per kilogram (excluding
sales tax) are invited for the sale of old Tamil and English
newspapers and old answer sheets belonging to the Office
of the Chief Educational Officer, Puducherry, Office of
the Deputy Inspector of Schools, Zone-III, IV and V,
Government Middle Schools and Government High
Schools under the control of the Chief Educational
Officer, Puducherry.
Tenders should be addressed to “The Chief Educational
Officer, Directorate of School Education, Puducherry” duly
superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for the purchase
of old Tamil and English newspapers and old answer
sheets” and should reach this office on or before 8-1-2015
at 4.00 p.m. and the tenders will be opened at 4.15 p.m.
on the same day in the presence of the tenderers if any,
in the office of the undersigned.
The intending tenderers should deposit an amount
of ` 2,000 (Rupees two thousand only) as earnest money
deposit in the Office of the Chief Educational Officer,
Puducherry before submission of the tender. The tenders
without earnest money deposit will be rejected.
The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful
tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender sale
is over/finalised, whereas, the earnest money deposit of
the successful tenderer will be returned after completion
of payment and to clear the old papers.
Tenders received after the due date and time will not
be entertained.
The successful tenderer should pay the full amount
including VAT and to clear the old papers after weighing
carefully at his own risk/cost failing which the earnest
money deposit will be forfeited.
No claim about the quantity and quality of the materials
will be admitted once the tender is finalised.
VAT will be charged @ 5% as per the rate applicable
at the time of auction.
The intending tenderers can inspect the materials (paper
items) during office hours/school time with the permission
of the Head of Institution.
In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned
will be final.
