NOTIFICATION
The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to
declare local holiday on 16-12-2014 (Tuesday) for all
Government Offices and Institutions in Karaikal District
o n a c c o u n t o f S a n i p e y a r c h i F e s t i v a l o f
Sri Dharbaranyeswaraswamy Devasthanam, Thirunallar,
Karaikal which will not be a holiday under the
Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. The 20-12-2014
(Saturday) will be a working day in Karaikal District in
lieu thereof.

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram
(excluding sales tax) are invited by the undersigned
item-wise for the sale of old newspapers, empty bottles
(plastic and glass) of this office as given below:

2. Tenders superscribed as “Tender for purchase
of old newspapers, empty bottles (plastic and glass)
and empty drums (tin/sink)” should be addressed
to the Office of the Deputy Director (Immunization),
Nehru Nagar, Karaikal-609 605 on or before 20-1-2015
at 4.00 p.m. The tenders received will be opened on
20-1-2015 at 4.30 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers
or their representatives who may be present.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum
of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) in cash as
earnest money deposit. The deposit of the
unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded after the
finalisation of the tender.
4. The items can be inspected during office hours
on any working day.
5. Sales tax will be collected extra.
6. The successful tenderer should remove the
items within 24 hours of receipt of notice of
acceptance of his tender by remitting the total cost
and sales tax thereon at the prevailing rate. The
successful tenderer should make his own arrangement
to weigh the goods.
7. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or
reject all tenders without assigning any reason
therefor.

TENDER NOTICE
Sealed tenders offering the highest rate per kilogram
are invited for the sale of old newspapers (Tamil and
English) and waste papers lying in this office from the
dealers/public.
2. The tenders in sealed covers superscribing as
“The tender for purchase of old newspapers (Tamil and
English) and waste papers” should be addressed to the
undersigned, so as to reach this office on or before
29-12-2014 at 11.00 a.m. The tenders will be opened at
12.00 noon on the same day in the presence of tenderers
who are present in the office of the undersigned. Any
incomplete tenders received are liable for rejection.
3. The rate per kilogram should be quoted for Tamil and
English newspapers separately both in figures and words.
4. The intending tenderers may inspect the old
newspapers during office hours on any working day.
5. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount
of ` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only) as earnest
money deposit.
6. This office could not be held responsible for any
loss or damages of the materials once the tender is
finalised.
7. The tenders received after the due date and time
will summarily be rejected .
8. The successful tenderer should pay the full
amount immediately as and when call made and clear the
old items within 24 hours at his own risk and cost,
failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.
9. The earnest money deposit collected from the
unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded after the tender
is over.
10. VAT/Sales tax will be collected on the sale of old
newspapers as per the rates prevailing at the time of
disposal/sale.
11. In case of any dispute, the decision of the
undersigned will be final.

2. Sealed tenders should be addressed to the
Deputy Inspector of Schools, Zone-I, Directorate of
School Education, Puducherry duly superscribing on
the envelope as “Tender for the purchase of old
newspapers” and they should reach this office on or
before 27-1-2015 at 4.00 p.m. The tenders will be
opened at 5.00 p.m. on the same day in the presence
of the tenderers, if any.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum
of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money
deposit to the Cashier, Office of the Deputy Inspector
of Schools, Zone-I, Puducherry before submission of
tender. The tenders without earnest money deposit will
be summarily rejected.

4. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful
tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender
sale is over. Whereas, the earnest money deposit of
the successful tenderer will be returned after the work
is completed in all respects.
5. Tenders received after the due date and time will
not be entertained.
6. The successful tenderer should pay the full
amount including sales tax as applicable under rules
in force and clear the newspapers within 15 days from
the Government Primary Schools in Puducherry region
(under the control of Zone-I) and Office of the Deputy
Inspector of Schools, Zone-I at his own risk and cost,
failing which the entire amount of earnest money
deposit will be forfeited.
7. No claim about the quantity and quality of the
newspapers will be admitted once the tender is
finalised. Sales tax will be charged as per rates as
applicable under rules in force.
8. The intending tenderer can inspect the old
newspapers during office hours in the Government
Primary Schools and Office of the Deputy Inspector
of Schools, Zone-I with prior permission of the
undersigned.
9. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or
reject any tender in part or whole without assigning
any reason thereof.
10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the
undersigned will be final.
