NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the proposal to fix the minimum rates of wages payable to the employees under employment in the

distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Cylinders in the Union territory of Puducherry was hereby published

as required under clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 5 the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central Act 11 of 1948)

in the Labour Department's notification issued under G.O. Ms. No. 14/AIL/Lab./G/2014, dated 25th June 2014 and

published in the Official Gazette No. 27, dated 8th July 2014 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons

likely to be affected thereby within sixty days from the date of publication of the said notification in the Official

Gazette of Puducherry;

2. And whereas, the said Gazette notification was made available to the general public on 8th July 2014;

3. And whereas, no objections or suggestions have been received within the abovesaid stipulated time-limit

and therefore the Government have decided to fix the minimum rates of wages payable for the employees engaged

in the distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Cylinders in the Union territory of Puducherry;

4. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 3 read

with sub-section (2) of section 5 and sub-section (1) of section 13 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central Act 11

of 1948), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, has been pleased to fix the minimum rates of wages payable to each

category of employees employed in the distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Cylinders in the Union territory of

Puducherry as specified in the Schedule hereunder:-

NOTE

1. In addition to the minimum wages, the employees shall be paid dearness allowance as indicated below:—

(i) The dearness allowance shall be linked to the Puducherry City Consumer Price Index for the month

of January, 2014 i.e. 247 points (with base year 2001=100) and for every raise of 1 point over and above 117

points an increase of ` 24.90 per month in respect of employment in distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas

cylinders shall be paid.

(ii) The revision of dearness allowance shall be effective from the 1st April of every year on the basis of

the average of the indices of the proceeding twelve months (i.e.) from January to December.

(iii) The first calculation shall thus be effective from the date of publication of this notification in the

Official Gazette of Government of Puducherry based on the average Puducherry City Consumer Price Index

of the previous year.

2. Where the nature of work is the same, no distinction in the payment of wages shall be made in the case

of men and women workers.

3. To arrive at the daily wages, the monthly wages shall be divided by 26.

4. To arrive at monthly rates of wages, the daily rates of wages shall be multiplied by 30.

5. Wherever the existing wages are higher than the minimum wages fixed herein, the same higher wages shall

be continued to be paid.

amend guidelines of the scheme “RKVY Elite Cross

Bred Milch Cow Rearing Units” under 50% subsidy

scheme of the National Agriculture Development

Programme (Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana) in the Union

territory of Puducherry as follows:-

AMENDMENT

(i) In Sl. No. I Pattern of assistance, the following

shall be substituted in Sub Nos. (1), (2) and (3).

(1) The cost estimate for purchasing

: ` 30,000

an elite cross bred milch cow.

(2) 50% as beneficiary contribution

: ` 15,000

(Non-subsidiary portion).

(3) 50% as subsidy portion

: ` 15,000

2. This issues with the concurrence of the

Finance Department vide U.O. No. 3021/2014-15/F4,

dated 29-12-2014.

2. The tenders in plain paper should be sealed and

addressed to the Chief Educational Officer, Directorate

of School Education, Puducherry duly superscribing on

the envelope as “Tender for the purchase of old

condemned furniture items” and sent to reach the

undersigned on or before 26-2-2015 at 4.00 p.m. The

tenders will be opened on the same day at 4.15 p.m. in

the presence of the tenderers, who are present.

3. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount

of ` 4,000 (Rupees four thousand only) as earnest

money deposit. The earnest money deposit of the

unsuccessful tenderers will be returned immediately

after the tender sale is over.

4. Tenders received after the due date and time will

be summarily rejected.

5. The undersigned reserves the right to accept

or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any

reason thereof.

6. The successful tenderer should pay the full

amount immediately and clear the items within 24 hours

at his own risk and cost, failing which the earnest

money deposit will be forfeited.

7. The intending tenderers may inspect the old

condemned furniture items during office hours on any

working day with the permission of the Headmaster in

the concern Middle School and Primary Schools listed

above without any disturbance to the students.

8. No claim on the quantity and quality of the

articles will be admitted once the tender is admitted.

9. VAT at the rate applicable will be charged @ 10%.

10. In case of dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be final.
