TENDER NOTICE
Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are
invited for the purchase of old newspapers and
magazines (Tamil and English) etc., belonging to the
Directorate of Information and Publicity, Puducherry
available at the Office Complex at No. 18, Belcomb
Street, Puducherry and Press Club at No. 1, Manakula
Vinayagar Street, Puducherry.
2. The rate should be quoted for each item as follows:

3. The tenders in sealed covers superscribed with
the words “Tender for the purchase of old newspapers
and magazines” should be addressed to the Director of
Information and Publicity, Puducherry, so as to reach
this office before 10.30 a.m. on 28-4-2015. The tenders
will be opened on the same day at 10.45 a.m.
4. Tenders received after the due date and time will
be rejected.
5. The intending tenderers should deposit an earnest
money deposit of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) in
cash before submission of the sealed tenders. The earnest
money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be
refunded after the tenders are opened and successful
tenderer has been selected.
6. The intending tenderers may inspect the said
articles during office hours on any working day with
the permission of the undersigned.
7. The undersigned reserves full right either to accept
or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any
reason. Contravention of the rules of tender notice will
result in the forfeiture of the earnest money deposit.
8. The successful tenderer shall arrange for the
Government weighing machine or authorised by the
Government to weigh the old newspapers and
magazines. Pay the cost thereof along with applicable
sales tax and remove the old newspapers and magazines
within 48 hours from the time of the tender sale is over
during office hours. Any failure to this arrangements,
the earnest money deposit paid will be forfeited. Also
for the old newspapers and magazines which have been
sold off after due receipt of payment, this department
will not undertake any responsibility for any loss or
shortage or damage. On completion of clearance of old
articles, the earnest money will be refunded.
9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the
Director of Information and Publicity, Puducherry
will be final.

In conformity with rule 8 of the Puducherry Municipalities (Grant of Licences and Permissions)
Rules, 1976, promulgated in this Union Territory by the Puducherry Municipalities Act, 1973, objections if any, to the setting
up of the above industry are invited from the public by the Commissioner, Yanam Municipality within ten days from the
date of publication of this notice in the official gazette.
The objections so received within the specified period will be considered by the Yanam Municipality.

Narayanadass Street, Kamaraj Nagar, Puducherry-605 011,

1. I am the deponent herein and well aware of
all the facts of my deposition.
2. I state that I was born on 12-7-1950 to my
parents. At the time of my birth I had been named
as ‘Sampath’ and the same is entered in my Birth
Certificate rgistered in the Taluk Office, Vanur Taluk and
in my son Balaji’s Birth Certificate and in his School
Transfer Certificate. I further state that I am also
called as ‘Sampathkumar’ and the same is entered in
my Family Ration Card, my Electoral Identity Card
and PAN Card and in my Aadhaar Card issued by the
Unique Identification Authority of India, Government
of India.
3. I submit that the two names i.e., ‘Sampath’ and
‘Sampathkumar’ are refer and denote to one and the
same person i.e., myself.
I hereby verify and confirm that what has been
stated above is true to the best of my knowledge,
belief and information, and nothing material has been
concealed therefrom.
