NOTIFICATION
In partial modification of the notification issued vide G.O. Ms. No. 3,
dated 28-6-2013 of the General Administration (Information and Publicity)
Department, Government of Puducherry and published in the
Extraordinary Gazette of Puducherry vide No. 24, Part-II, dated 9th July 2013,
the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to approve the proposal
for constitution of Media Identity Card Recommendation Committee and
for the said purpose, hereby makes the following amendment to the
Puducherry Media Representatives Identity Card Rules, 2013.

AMENDMENT
In the said rules in rule 4.1. the following shall be substituted,
namely:–
4.1. Media Identity Card Recommendation Committee.— The Media
Identity Card Recommendation Committee constituted herein shall
consist of the following members and Chairman and committee is
authorised to decide the issue of identity cards to the media
representatives:-

4.1 (a) The committee shall either take decision for the grant
of identity cards to the media representatives of Union territory
of Puducherry or it may reject the issue of such card for reason
to be recorded in writing under these rules.
4.1 (b) The committee shall meet once in every six months
to review the issue of identity cards to the media representatives of
the Union Territory.
4.1 (c) In addition to the above official members, the committee
shall consist of the non-official members whose tenure shall be
two years.
